    Mr. Murphy:

    A&F had seven floors in NYC? Wow! I can see that there are indeed some drawbacks to being raised in the sticks. I would love to have seen that. Does anyone do anything like that now, other than the big-dollar British gun makers? We have some big-box type sporting goods stores here (and Cabela's is still coming) in Denver that have incredible volumes of space and a decent variety of medium-grade goods, but I can't imagine that the service (or the products) is anything like what has gone on in the past with the likes of VL&A or A&F. Mark Reynold's shop here in Englewood attempts to recreate that type of atmosphere (Smiths, Foxes, and even Dicksons mixed up with Leonards, Grangers, and Hardy reels), but on a much smaller scale. It would seem that most of the big cities on the coast(s) strongly discourage firearm sales (Filson's flagship store in Seattle doesn't even have gun photographs). Where does one go?
