This guy is apparently still living in 1960. Let's face it, while unions are a great thing, a private group hosting music in a small park certainly can't nor should they have to hire "union bands". Hell I didn't even know there were union bands.
From what I heard, the union guru wanted the private group to not only hire union musicians but wanted to dictate which band would be there and not give the sponsor a choice of music. So you want me to pay for a band and not dictate to them what music I want to hear? Dream on big boy.
Now if the park or city host an event, union musicians should probably be used. In this case I would tell him to stick his signs in his horn.
