What would think of a 67 year old business man running for school board, who has ran a business for 40 years in our town? I might add one who is sick and tired of hiring graduates who cant add, cant even write, they just learn to print. I asked an 18 year old at bakery on Sat. who did not know how to make change. Im extremely upset with our school system, our scores are so low, we all qualify for free lunches. I have many friends that are teachers, they are all fine folks, but im in the public a lot, and hear comments like, "We wont move to Granite City, because of the schools", Folks, we have a problem,
