Elcooksta, i totally agree with you. A good coach can mask inefficiencies in a team' roster. A good coach can improvise by putting in a scheme that will fit the team's players talents. A good coach can utilize his personel in ways bad coaches can't even begin to come up with. A good example is 3 coaches from the NFL's NFC eastern division. They were all coaches in the 90s and they both followed excellent coaches. All 3 were horrendous coaches. Anyone remember Rich Kotite (Eagles), Ray Handley (Giants), and Dave Campo (Cowboys). They were all very poor coaches and never got another head coaching job again after their respective debacles. Worker A, I also agree with you. Public schools do 5 things well. They teach children... 1) truth comes from authority 2) intelligence is the ability to remember and repeat 3) accurate memory and repetition are rewarded 4) non-compliance is punished 5) conform intellectually and socially I actually believe that most teachers are very good and would be very good if allowed to really 'teach' students. However, they are shackled by parents, politicians, and cowardly administrators who are afraid to buck the system.
