    This does not sound like ADD. Try an ENT and an eye doctor first. sometimes children can pass a hearing test that is sound specific but they have nerve deafness and are not hearing the actual words. (meaning they are hearing the sound just fine but not the inflections that make up the word. So it ends up sounding like Charlie Browns teacher)
    This can be something they were born with, disease or from a really bad ear infection. Sometimes tubes help.
