Ugh, I must be tired, I wrote that whole book and didn't even answer your question! I'm sorry, I totally misread your post.
For kids, talk with the school counselor. They can point you in the right direction of someone who can test learning disabilities (which it's included as) within the school district. For adults, you would need to go to a psychiatrist or psychologist.
