i am still a teacher...always will be until the day i die. it is what i was educated and trained to do. it is what i will be doing when i travel overseas. it is what i am doing now. to try to draw a correlation between mega-churches and teacher's unions is...well..typical stupidity on your part. teachers unions are not tax exempt. teachers pay into the unions. the unions lobby for the interest of education - an issue most important to this nation. churches are tax exempt. these churches take charitable donations and spend it to lobby for the interest of the religion - to promote issues which are most important to a religious vision of what this nation should be...rather than spending it to help the poor or assist their patrons in their time of need. as i said before - i would never prohibit anyone from attending a church or their ability to freely practice whatever faith they want. i only object when these churches get involved in a government which explicitly denies their ability to do so.
