How about the snotty girl who checks you out at Wal Mart? Want an apology for her attitude?
This manager was in the wrong. It's been pointed out by several and we all agree. If he does it again, he should be dealt with. However, if the "policy" is made from his bosses, e-mail them and complain.
There is no excuse for bad service and attitude but we have to keep it real. Go again and see if the powers to be have made changes. They know what happened by now.
