I know - where did they come from? can be a stupid question on the appearance of it.
But I guess what I meant was what was the need that brought it about? But I suppose at some point in Pontoon's storied history, perhpas someone thought "Hey, let's get a slate of people together." Maybe the slate was successful. Then perhaps later a slate came and said "We gotta do something about that other slate."
Your responses have been helpful. It helps me to understand it, because I see the signs and hear the lingo, but never fully understand the conversation.
