I believe the reason for parties or groups, are as follows, of course fund raising it near the top, when a party or group is together in office it is called control. It is very difficult for an independent such as myself to garner enough votes to be elected, AND it is difficult to obtained correct information in filling out complicated forms, as well as even obtaining them. The reason I am running as a independent is that I believe in split tickets that hopefully ensures that the best candidates win offices and the residents are fairly represented for the good of everyone and not just certain ones.
