No, my argument is that the ASA will place as many obstecles in your way as possible to make you dependent on them. I perform regional anesthesia every day damn near and I tell you it aint that hard, the medical decision making is just hokum. If you are content being a technician that just takes vital signs a stool sitter then your right it is outside of your duty, if you wish to be a practtioner of anesthesia it is you duty to be familiar and able to perform all forms of anesthesia from MAC to regional to general. I here AA's say we as good as CRNA's This argument of "not my job" is not supportive of that.
