Legal capability and clinical competence are two entirely different things. You know this of course, but are too arrogant to admit it.
AA's can and do administer anesthetics without an anesthesiologist being physically present in the OR or even the hospital. AA legislation always has an emergency provision written into it.
And although CRNA's can legally practice independently in some states, hospital or group policy can supercede those regulations and requirements.
