I just saw the picure of your stock and since you're going to strip it you might as well get the dents out. I use a procedure where I get a cloth saturated with water and heat the cloth over the dent with a propane torch. Do NOT keep the torch in one spot for very long or you can scorch the wood. Make sure you keep the cloth wet as that's what creates the steam to raise the dent. Also you might want to try some acetone to remove the stickness. Jim
