I would be interested in what your serial number is. I have one coming, a 10 ga. Quality 2 with 30" barrels with the serial number of 19,517 that was made either late 1887 or early 1888. Guns of this era only came with 30" or 32" (?)barrels and in 10 or 12 ga. and are usually easy to spot by the receiver lumps on both sides of the receiver. In my opinion these Syracuse guns were the nicest made and especially in the stepped side plate versions.
