Yes I agree with the h and s of an injector test, although if you had time you could make something up that could allow it to be controlled in an enclosed device. In regards to making a power supply for aprox 50 volt to supply an injector, I don't really know about how to that, I was just thinking outside the box. You could try wiring 2 or 3 old batteries in series, it might be enough just to open the injector to see a pressure drop. Or I wonder if you had an old diesel ECU that you could utilise the device inside which provides the higher voltage? Probably not as straight forward to do this as we'd like.
