OK fair enough,
So is this not a VVT type as i've only ever seen these with a vac control system. Seen a few early turbo's where the pressrue within the turbine housing blows open the poppet wastegate type valve.
Thinking about it, i'm sure we had one in where the wastegate had seized solid with no go at all. Felt more like a blocked exhaust though but it wasn't.
