Post partum depression is real, but I’m not sure that hers was post partum
And I don’t think that it really matters either way what caused her depression. Post partum seems to me to be an identifier as a cause but other than that I don’t think the symptoms or treatments are any different than any other depression. Ultimately, the prosecution had 1 good witness that made absolutely the most sense (Kirk somebody), and he said that she was basically suffering so much she decided to take her Own life, and decided the kids would be better off “going with her” rather than left alive. She did not suddenly snap in the moment.
And while post-partum depression is a real thing, the notion that it would likely drive someone to murder her three children in such horrendous fashion is a leap I am not willing to make.
