You’re not necessarily as daft as you sound. I can see Fondop playing as an emergency centre back, before the season is out.
We only have 2 adequate senior centre backs, as of now. And will be in real trouble when one of them gets injured or suspended, as demonstrated against Accrington. Leake, or Ogle, can do a temporary fill-in job in a back 3 - albeit it’s not their natural or best position. But using one of them in back 3 still needs 2 proper centre backs. Can’t see either of them being any more of an adequate stand in for Daniel’s or Monthe, if either of them unavailable than Sutton is. Would rather see Fondop playing there. Not joking.
