Mellon has never liked Fondop and was forced to keep playing him because he kept scoring, and Mellon will still find a reason to leave him out even though fondop has improved every season he's been at Latics.
Scored none in 11 games at H'pool then scored 20 last season and was our player of the year by a country mile, even though mellon voted for Caprice
Mellon should be working for hours with Drummond to beat players and get great crosses in for the 2 big strikers now, otherwise take Drummond to Ashton tip.
If Mellon is now going to play 2 big strikers, we may see the return of the long ball game, because since Yoganathan went back to Barnsley, we don't have that midfielder that can turn a player and drive us forward.
Worrying for me was that our right back(Ogle) was our most dangerous player on Tuesday.
