There are real, abhorrent consequences of illegal immigration into this country.

I think successive Tory and Labour governments have been negligent regarding this issue.

I think it's basic common sense to want secure borders. I don't it's racist although I concede if someone is racist it gives them an excuse to rally against people who they want to be racist towards. I get that. And I don't agree with that. But underneath that, there remains a serious, thus far unaddressed problem.

We can speculate on the reasons why illegal immigration is so prevent but I think ultimately whatever the reasons for it are it needs to be addressed.

I like you jimmyp, and I'm not offended by your comments. But you seem to be missing the point I am making? Unless you are specifically referring to the subset of racists within the set of people concerned about illegal immigration? If that's the case fair enough but I still think there's an element of shooting yourself in the foot even with that subset because they will double down and become hell bent on getting someone like Farage into power. Can't you see that? I'm sure you can. Therefore I can only conclude you don't care, which basically proves my point that I made in the beginning.
