Without Social media neither would be anywhere near.

I agree 100% on your points it is the fault of those who give people abuse for having different opinions.

Also, Social media feeds the anger people feel, algorithms keep people focused on one point/one helief, people then double down of their beliefs without looking for the truth.

Knowing the truth seems to be something people dont seem to care about any more they just want to reinforce their own political angle.

People have become so extreme in their beliefs and obsessive and are very unlikely to look at counter arguments.
