Well, no. His attraction is absolutely plain. People are likely to vote for him because he tells them what they want to believe is true.

Their lives are crap because of a few hundred people coming over on small boats. Not because their education was underfunded by people with a vested interest in people not being especially well educated and was wasted by them because they were too busy acting the cunt.

The NHS, the roads, public transport and services are crap because of a few hundred people on small boats. Not because the people they voted for couldn't be arsed to invest time, effort and money into maintaining them when all they've really got to do is allow them to believe that if we just stop the boats* then everything will magically be fixed. Rather than there being one fewer of what are innumerable potholes, their train carriage being less overcrowded by one or two people, them having to wait 5 weeks and six days for a GP appointment rather than 6 weeks, etc, etc.

*for the millionth time, when people are prepared to fork over their life-savings in order to risk actual death, there isn't a realistic deterrent but then the same people who complain about it are the same people who support the orange cretin bombing the shit out of people or supporting others who do. The same people who don't believe in foreign aid but who dont understand that not supporting dirt poor countries because 'our priorities are at home' inevitably guarantee that people's lives are so shit that they'll risk everything to get here to improve them.

And I'll make no apology for describing these people as thick as mince, mouth-breathing, cretins, because they prove the case every time they issue forth on the subject.
