And the assertion that bits and pieces coming out 'confirm he's lost the dressing room early in the season' does that classic thing of presenting surmise as fact. He may or may not have done, who knows, but nothing so far 'confirms' that.

It is an ugly but disappointing and growing trait that people look to utterly destroy a person's track record/personality when expressing (justifiable in this case of course) anger about something that's happened. There was even a post (now deleted for obvious reasons) suggesting that he'd done it all for personal financial gain. Seriously, hang your head AC.

Seemed to me that he was massively hit by the Lockyer thing and also struggled to come to terms with answering PL challenges with limited resources. He's certainly not the only one to find that, some with vastly bigger resources.

We had some brilliant times and nearly made it. Why lose sight of that? Last season was a shambles from day one, don't think anyone would deny that, but to then villify a man who put his heart and health into it is deeply unfair and unpleasant.

As is slating a board trying to do the right thing but not always getting it right.

Hopefully a good start will put this all behind us.
