    Drew,
I sorted through the picturetrail and sure enough there was a picture of the auto safety slide. AND-there is a bend in the end. The piece I got from gunparts was straight, so basically it must have been a blank ready to fit.
I now have a bent and properly functioning auto safety slide.

Tom, it makes sense on the rebounding hammers. Because I'm hesitant to dry fire, I hadn't even thought to check them. My trimmed firing pins are about .01 recessed into the breechface when fully retracted now. Before trimming one was slightly proud and the other about flush. Not was I though was acceptable.

On firing pins, I noticed something else. If I point the muzzles down at a steep angle and go to open the gun, the free floating firing pins will catch on the extractors. Is this typical for an LC?

As earlier stated, this is my first LC and I don't have a properly working one to compare against.

Finally for this post, I need a new top lever screw (the one that goes through the trigger plate into the bottom of the top lever). The one in my shotgun has the threads stripped. Numrich is out of stock for the screw. Can anyone either direct me to a source or tell me what the thread size is? Anyone with Brophy's book of drawings who'd share the screw print?
    Jason
