Frank, My pigeon gun is 37215. This gun was manufactured in May of 1893. It has crown steel barrel and english stock. The information I received from Mr. Stubbendieck shows that Hunter Arms made a first run of 10 pigeon guns(serial 37209 to 37218). So my gun is #7. Everyone assumes that the advertisement date of the grade is the first year. Hunter would have needed guns on hand to sell and I think this is the reason there are Pigeon guns with manufacture dates prior to 1895. If anyone has another Pigeon gun in this serial # range I would like to see some pictures and compare notes. Pat
