David, I'm not looking for a special order gun. I'm wondering if the books could be wrong. Both Brophy and Houchin claim that there were two basic engraving patterns for Pigeon guns. The first was the gun with the blue rock on one side and a standing pigeon on the other on regular framed guns. The other was a fighting pigeon on both plates which is very common on the featherweight frame. I once actually owned a pre-1913 regular frame gun engraved with a fighting bird on each plate, but I've never seen what both Brophy and Houchin claim was the primary engraving pattern for a regular frame gun.
