Mark Arie achieved most of his fame schucking a Marlin pump gun. In the 1920s and 30s he won over $150,000 schucking that Marlin -- over $2 million in todays dollars.
Many of the top shooters were schilling for a different gun company every year -- might be shooting for Baker one year and using Peters shells and shooting for Remington and using UMC shells the next.
