    2 issues Chick:
    1. It's not good to leave wood and metal in contact with cloth (in a soft gun case) esp. in a humid environment-the fabric holds moisture.
    2. It may well not matter, but I store my SxSs after dropping the hammers on a snap cap. I wipe the snap caps down with WD 40 first. Any time I handle a gun, I open the action first so I'm not worried about inadvertantly breaking down an un-cocked LC for cleaning. There was no definitive statement why this should not be done with LCs on the recent thread. I'm aware that the factory instructions for both Fox and Parker guns calls for pulling the triggers with no need for a striker block/snap caps.
    BTW: The REALLY OCD among us store SxSs barrels down so oil in the action can't migrate and soften the head of the stock.
