Years of observing the sunset on Sabbath have me well seasoned to see through the darkened clouds on the horizon this evening, which make it appear to be night already. By Experience I can see through to recognize certain hues in the color spectrum on the other side of those dark clouds and by my experience recognize there's about 10 minutes left third star on the horizon maybe 15 minutes but no matter, the shofar will sound a little early tonight here in Waco signal the onset of becoming Sabbath day of rest. I wonder where she is this evening that woman who loves Sabbath as much as I do? I stopped by the store on the way up to this Hilltop and only come to observe the Setting Sun from, there were people inside lined up at the cash register both men and women dressed up for Friday evening really ready to celebrate Life by engaging in habits of death. Typical Friday evening I thought to myself, as I observed a couple very pretty young ladies looking like they were about to go party, pretty by the terms this world seems pretty. And as I walked outside to my car I thought to myself they haven't seen true beauty, I wonder where she's at, that woman who loves Sabbath as much as I do, who anticipates the coming time frame were as much joy and excitement as the world does their weekly rituals of engaging in self-destructive behaviors. I wonder where she's at, that woman who dresses up for this evening with anticipation of Holiness and dresses or table for the Sabbath meal, and adorns her heart has she lights her Sabbath candles... I wonder where she is?
REGARDING THIS recent tropical "event" that left so much devastation in Louisiana, for THOSE PAYING ATTENTION, who offered prayers for Florida and Houston, in advance of, and during the storms impact to those areas, Thank you for your prayers, the areas we focused upon were spared the type of damage seen by the worst of this storm system. For those who were paying attention from early on, I have no doubt because of such, like myself, you were praying for areas west of Florida well in advance of the storm reaching them. I praise Yah' for answered prayer in that regard as well. For an event that saw over 20,000 flood rescues, the numbers reported as actual death toll thus far, are in rare fashion extremely low by comparison. Undoubtedly the whole nation, even across the world saw people praying for those areas during the event, when such devastation was obvious, but I also have to credit those I know were PAYING ATTENTION and due such, praying for the areas well in advance of the danger being so obvious.
That said, I do ask for reasons I have not publicly disclosed yet, that you keep Houston in prayer during this tropical cyclone season, particularly in the coming month through mid September.
For those paying attention the shofar is about to sound, it is a Sabbath of the Lord, Shabbat shalom.
