Invest 99L has been giving Meteorologist a bit of headache, for one thing, it is unusual in that it has remained an INVEST for this period of time.
INvests usually only last a couple days to a few days before developing into a Tropical Wave or stronger into a Depression, storm, hurricane etc. or either they simply dissipate. But this event has held the attention of their computer models MORE than a week. Just unusual for an "INVEST" hence their in the last day beginning to make mocking comments about it.
That said..as we continue our monitoring of the event...I was moved to make a chart this morning...I include it here along with two other images...the first images illustrating the current storm track projections of the NWS as of 8am EDT this morning, a NOAA Sattelite Image of INVEST 99L illustrating it is currently impacting the entire Eastern half of Cuba with strong thunderstorms...
And as you consider the chart I was moved to make this morning, consider the actual current position of INVEST 99L with regard to where Storm Track Models illustrate it to be, in contrast to The current NOAA Sattelite view of it superimposed to scale over the same, and it's actual current impact, this will help put into perspective that which is to come in the coming days...
For THOSE PAYING ATTENTION, I am instructed to counsel you to...
