Meanwhile forecasters kept focusing on the "N" portion of that, as it suits to support their projections of many days to turn North, then NORTH EAST and head back to Florida.
At 4pm, the National Hurricane center updated the storm which had prior been noted to be moving WNW at 7mph, to then be moving NW at 5mph.
Well, Forecasters got all excited, basically saying..."See its turning, its moving North now!"
Well yeah, but still NORTHWEST.
Anyway, just minutes prior, as I noted in last nights post at 11:36 pm CST, that the storm track models were not shifting NORTH (see chart in post), but rather they are SHIFTING WEST...well, this afternoon at 3:40-4pm, the same Forecasters noted "This system has shifted farther west than we expected" and they began calling for a potention landfall at Tallahassee in extreme western panhandle of Florida.
That footage is contained about midway through this 10 minute video updating where we currently were this afternoon about 5:30 pm with TD 9.
At 7pm EDT, the National Hurricane updated their info, noting the storm is once again moving WEST by Northwest at 4 mph.
