Hadn't heard about Leroys but I'm not overly surprised to hear it. I went in there about this time last year. The odor was definitely not that of a quality store. Add that to the fact that I had to swerve to miss a bunch of teenage idiots from the trailer park or the projects screwing around in the parking lot and I vowed not to go back.
That old Hucks store has to be one of the dirtiest places in the area. I believe the owners have several of these stores and they're all pretty much in that condition. Simple solution is to not patronize them and drive them out of business. That will temporarily hurt your village Speak but it will be a long term good thing.
Mr. Chris, I'm happy to hear your crew is tearing down some of those section 8 slums. What was once a pretty decent group of apartments is now a slum full of druggies, thieves and thugs. Mr. Jim Green certainly put the screws to this community when he turned that place into a housing project.
I hope your village can fix up things like that old pet store. I enjoy going to that Caseys. the clerks are good and the place is pretty clean. Great place to stop for a cold drink after golf or a quick tank of gas.
