I had no idea that some of the apartments had been torn down. Then, let me give credit and thanks to all that had a hand in getting this done. I do my best to stay out of that area and just pretend it isn't there. But if you travel Pontoon rd or Lake Dr you can't help but notice the other problems I mentioned above.
It is a matter or pride and wanting to remain proud of my community that is the root to my complaints. It's very easy for me as well as many of us to sit back and say "they should do this or that" from my easy chair and I do understand there are laws or protocol to follow.
The decline in the appearance and loss of business in the area gets frustrating. If we could clean and spruce up Pontoon rd, the main route in and out of our village, that alone would make a huge difference. I miss the days of street sweepers and weed killer!
