    Opinionated: I appreciate your clarification and I completely see where you're coming from. However, I don't think it's responsible to be as conservative as your "hard nose for school board" promises. I don't believe that these radical changes are necessary; we just need someone (or several people) on the board who will ask questions like "do we need this now?", "does this improve academics?", and "what will happen if we don't enact this?". I sincerely care about this district and this city, and I am wise-enough (even at my young age) to make smart decisions.

    As for the paying-taxes issue, I want to assure you that I do pay taxes. Even though I pay $38,000 a year to go to Saint Louis University, I also work downtown for the U.S. Coast Guard. Because I do this, but still live here in Granite City, I pay St. Louis city taxes, Missouri state taxes, and Illinois taxes. Though I am only 22, I feel the burden of payes such taxes, and I also appreciate the services that I receive because of them. I hope you understand. Thanks!
