Under the proposal, Grigsby Middle School would become a fifth- and sixth-grade school. Coolidge Middle School would become a seventh- and eighth-grade junior high school. IMO this has needed to happen for MANY years now. It would have changed my sons world. I think that it would better the classrooms by being more focused and geared around academics while greatly diminishing the fights and bickering between fourth and fifth grades. Also, hopefully the fifth and sixth will have longer times before the Dare dances start and not be so focused on whos dating who and they can just have dances at the 7th and 8th grade level. I hope this is a go. Of course my boys are too old so none of it applies now. I will not be at the meeting it has no effect on my family at all.
