If people would get over the hang ups of literal interpretation, faith and reason would coexist.
It's too bad that people post with either faith OR reason.
Life's a lot better when you use both.
If this was not in regards to me - then I apologize. I was not angry when I posted my last post and you bet that anytime you insert Dee's opinion over what the Bible says - I am gonna speak up.
Of course you have the right to your opinion that is the point of the freedom given by God, but when you speak against His Word or in contradiction to it - I will always chime in - you can count on it Dee.
There are many folks who do not know His truth and they aimlessly believe that truth is relative to the beholder of that particular truth. When you perpetuate that lie and attempt to use God as the source of that perpetuation - well it is just wrong according to His Word and I will say so.
You have yet to use His Word, to denounce the truths I have claimed are His, from His Word. Until you are able to show that the Lord has given you permission to interpret His Word as you wish - your words are but opinion and nothing more and therefore holding no more weight or truth than any other humans, including mine.
The weight of truth lies with God and God alone. Not in Dee's opinion nor in GIT's and when you treat His Word as something no more than possible truth in some areas (which is what you say when it is up for interpretation - because each interpretation culminates in different truth) you call your God and His truth lies. What else are you saying? If I have misread this then show me. Otherwise stop stacking opinion on opinion - it means nothing.
Lastly, I would never come at someone like this except you hold the truth in a veil for those who would seek it. You are doing far greater harm than a non-believer ever could. Because you profess to believe but then hold your own truth higher than His, you allow each person who may follow your lead to continue in the sin that devastates their lives and you take away their hope. Hope can only be found in truth and where it leads even if that path looks difficult or painful and you should know that.
