I think the difference is our definition of relative - you are looking at it as being defined as important to us and the reason we seek it. Which is true.
Your post however makes all "truth" equal regardless of what that truth is and how one truth of someone can cancel out and make void the truth of another. With this ideology - truth becomes relative to the beholder and by conclusion - untrue.
So no, I was not joking - that is what your theory on truth leads to. What it means is that there is no absolute truth to be had. It means that whatever I say is true in any area - is true because I said so - and whatever you say - is true - in any area, because you said so - can't be. This very process of thought is contrary to those things seen - nature is organized and follows a pattern or cycle. So has our Lord designed it that we might know what truth is - it is not chaotic or relative - it is concrete and patterned after Him.
For the record - it(nature in example of God) is these things minus the element of evil. Evil being only understood by a basis to judge good. Evil being a part of the plan - an element present but existing separate from God.
