I believe in quite a bit of absolute truth. For example, if you pour salt on a slug, you'll dehydrate it. It's based on facts that can be proven. It's the absolute truth, there is no argument against it to be proven otherwise.
Religion cannot be proven, therefore it is all opinion, not fact. What I believe, is just that, my belief or opinion. It can be a strong belief, and something I live my life by, but it still can't be truth, otherwise I'd be able to prove it, and vice a versa with your beliefs.
But, here we go getting off topic again.
This very train of thought leads to loop holes though on the surface it sounds logical.
If you base absolute truth on things only deduced by scientific processes, then how do you prove murder is wrong? How about rape? Or child abuse? Or taking away the minimum wage standard? Where do these truths get proven by science?
