By the way, I looked up the numbers. Last year the "earned income" credit paid out 59 billion dollars, and the "shortfall" for social security was 41 billion. My point is that if we ended this entitlement/redistribution program we could fix a large part of the problems with social security. Which all those who have worked pay into.
