You do not hold an unpopular opinion and your passion is not a bad thing.
It's the part of accepting others where they are that seemed very difficult.
There is more than one way of seeing God, even from a Christian viewpoint -- and of course from non-Christian lenses as well.
I don't think it was your intention, but at times you did not seem to accept others' position and where they were. You saw God and the world your own way and seemed to have wanted others to see it that same way.
Also, religion is a very personal topic. How people relate with the divine really touches the very core of who they are.
So for them to be told that they are wrong or that your path is superior may be taken as offensive.
We are not going to necessarily burn in hell if we don't see it exactly as you see it.
I think all of us here have been evangelized and so Granite City Gossip is not a new frontier for evangelization. Religion is not a popular topic here, not because people here don't love and honor God. but because there cannot be any right answers or wrong answers. We have to accept others where they are.
