I don't think anyone is questioning the good they do, or the needs they are meeting for the less fortunate.
It is a wonderful organization.
HOWEVER, I agree that our Madison Avenue and Nameoki Road are the faces of Granite City that most people judge us by.
I do not want to see more title, payday loan type signs on our main streets. And I have often griped on here about the shape of Lam's Garden Restaurant on Nameoki, I think it's atrocious and they should be forced to clean it up.
The old Lombardi's building was perfect for some type of retail business or restaurant. Now it will just be another obscure, unidentifiable building in an area we need the biggest change.
