Well in that instance, I didn't care how he felt about pit bulls. That kind of statement shows the lack of seriousness he has for the situation. Saying that another breed, regardless of what kind, would be a cause for concern, is disregarding the fact that the dog may change his/her response to fear at any given time. Right now, he/she is scared, at any point that may change. Just like in his eyes a "pit bull" would automatically fight, so could the lab. All it takes is something in the situation to change, and the owner doesn't have to see it, but the dog does. And then all of a sudden, it's one of those dogs that "snapped" and no one knows why. This is the type of responsibility that dog owners need. Not just the things you do and the things you train the dog for, but you need to have the right thinking process as well.
