I would love to know where they got that from. Maybe POTENTIALLY dangerous, but certainly not the most dangerous. Sheesh, A husky being on the top 4? I would love for you to meet my push over guy. How bout some real statistics. The American Temperament Test Society tests stability, shyness, aggressiveness, and friendliness as well as the dog's instinct for protectiveness towards its handler and/or self-preservation in the face of a threat. ATTS Now, anything over 80% is considered good. Now lets look at those 10 "dangerous" breeds. Dalmation - 329 tested, 271 passed, 58 failed- 82.4% Boxer - 418 tested, 351/67 - 84.0% Presa Canario - 1 tested, 1 passed - 100% (Now, admittedly, you can argue this one due to lack of data because they are a rare dog) Chow Chow - 98 tested, 70/28 - 71.4% Doberman Pinschers - 1,574 tested, 1,222/352 - 77.6% Alaskan Malamutes - 222 tested, 189/33 - 85.1% Huskies (and the actual name is Siberian Husky) - 295 tested, 257/38 - 87.1% German Shepherds - 3,038 tested, 2,559/479 - 84.2% Rottweilers - 5,357 tested, 4,470/887 - 83.4% American Pit Bull Terrier - 772 tested, 664/108 - 86.0% So out of the supposedly 10 most dangerous breeds, only two are below the 80% temperament test. And Pit bulls are second HIGHEST on the list, right under Siberian Huskies.
