shellgrl4, unfortunately you are probably correct. Your example of the uniform fiasco is pretty much how the district responds to major changes for families. Oh they may allow parents to come to a board meeting or two to voice their opinion but its just a formality. Its done to say, "Hey we allowed parents to come voice their opinion and concerns." but in reality the decision has already been made and no one is going to change their decision. Sad isn't it? "DONE DEAL" is exactly what is going to happen. They will spend a huge amount of money busing kids all over the city, while inconveniencing families all in the name of trying to accomplish higher test scores...a false hope of a possible fix to attain higher test scores IMO. (and expensive one)
