"forget it!"- You are the one who obviously has not done enough homework about the program and should quit talking like you are already an AA (i.e. using terms "we" to include other AA's with your comments). You also do not know the professors as well as you think you do if you think they will frown upon an AA doing medical research/publication in their spare time. Publishing works with "AA-C" linked to the author would only show versatility and advocate the profession, and they encourage that! I wish you luck in becoming an AA but please do not be so close-minded in the future. Curious- I am a AA student at NOVA and we actually have writing MHS courses on how to publish medical literature, perform literature reviews and so forth throughout the 27 months we are here. "forget it!" is right, there is a huge push for AA's to become known, however, that won't happen if all we do is sit inside an OR all day and never contribute to the medical community. I applaud your enthusiam and trust me so will Professor Wagner, as he is one of our biggest proponents for expanding our profession beyond the OR's.
