"Instead you go onto a website that has pre-AA and AA-Students on it, to ask questions that quite frankly, no one gives a shit about, because were on here to network about applications/acceptances." Wow... you honestly think I'm the only one with an interest in capitalizing on my future qualification/education? Do you realize that someone who holds an advanced medical degree can write press releases for medical communications firms in their spare time for $200+ a release (350-450 words at most)? If you're really good, you'll progressively get more and more work and eventually need to hire ghostwriters to write for you so that you can compound your workload and client base. So yeah, maybe that's what I want to do. I realize that physicians are DEFINITELY qualified for that line of work, but why spend 8 - 10 more years in school when I can be qualified to do it after only 2 more years of school? My plan is to go to AA school, graduate, and while working as an anesthetist for a practice, write press releases for various biomedical firms in my spare time. After I build up my reputation and name and word of my skills spreads to those who matter (e.g., medical comm. firms), then I can switch to working only part-time as an anesthetist and eventually achieve the status of earning over $1k/day doing medical writing. If you don't believe me, that's fine -- because there are those who have done it. Sheesh... my original question simply pertained to whether or not the AA degree would qualify me for that field of work or if I'd need to earn a higher-level degree (e.g., MD/DO)!
