Hi Joe I have to agree with you 100% It's just another smoke screen or using dirty tactics to keep the AA-C profession from gaining ground and flooding the job market. It's called FEAR!
It's sad because not all CRNAs think like this you do have some really good CRNAs out there who believes that AA-Cs deserves the up most respect and the same rights.
There are a lot of CRNAs who work with AAs/AA-Cs and I'm sure they consider them to be some of there closest friends vise verse. There's plenty of jobs out there for both Mid Level Anesthesia Providers AA-C/CRNA.
As ANESTHETIST whether your a CRNA or AA-C both are highly skilled Master Level Practitioners.
When you come out of school as an AA-C ANESTHESIOLOGIST ASSISTANT CERTIFIED(ANESTHETIST)IT'S 1.Master of Medical Science(MMSc)In Anesthesiology and Patient Monitoring. 2.Master of Health Science(MHSc)In Anesthesiology. 3.Master of Science(MSA) In Anesthesiology/Anesthesia.
This pertain to ALLIED HEALTH PROFESSION and NURSE PROFESSION(AA-C).
When you come out of school as an CRNA CERTIFIED REGISTER NURSE ANESTHETIST IT'S 1.Master of Science In Nursing(MSN)Nurse Anesthesia. 2.Master of Science in Anesthesia(MSA)
This pertain to NURSE PROFESSION(CRNA).
So there you have it, both AA-C/CRNA on equal settings. ADDRESS TO THE NEGATIVE CRNAs ON HERE WHAT'S THE PROBLEM ?
