The reason why they chose AA school when they(CCP)are already making 6 figures as you stated. Maybe change. They probably see being an Anesthetist very rewarding as well as challenging. Maybe there seeking a higher income in the 6 figures range like the AAs/AA-Cs are making. The reason why I included perfusionist in the support of AAs/AA-Cs is because 1.They are Allied Health Professionals. and 2.Some perfusionist have gone to AA school to become an Anesthetist. We as Allied Health professionals must support one another. The nurses are supporting one another. There's strength in numbers. I see no difference when an AA/AA-C already making 6 figures annually. Wants to go back to medical school and become a Anesthesiologist Doctor(MDA). I'm sure AA/AA-C see being a doctor even more challenging. Being an Anesthetist is challenging enough. I have a lot of respect for perfusionist they run the O.R. when it comes to open heart and liver transplant surgery. They also work out side the O.R.. Like doing ECMO at the bed side in all I.C.U.s. Especially CVICU,TSICU,NICU,STICU,&PICU. The bottom line, It's all about STATUS" being important being respected and sacrificing to get where you are today. Also feeling good about your self as well as your profession. Doing the impossible. Obtaining you Master Degree. Whether It's a M.M.Sc. or M.S.A. in Anesthesiology. And you should be proud you earned it.

Hi Ram
Sorry for the misprint. That reason why I said R.P.(register perfusion)is because most CCP are licensed. I am aware of CCP making 6 figures annually.
