WOW! impressive story. Now that's perseverance never giving up. Fighting for what's right and what's fair.I was very moved when Shane said in his story.
The deepest irony is that I am now teaching CRNAs students,"says Shane.(AA-C)They have the choice of who they want to work with and they choose me, and at the end of the day they walk out saying, 'I learned something today."
A particular CRNA on here disputed me by saying AA-Cs/AAs cannot teach or train CRNA students.(SRNAs)But CRNAs can train both AA-S/SRNA. I assure them that AA-Cs can train or teach both Anesthetist students.(AA-S/SRNA)
I think it's great. It just goes to show that AA-Cs are just as strong as CRNAs. I also believe AA-Cs are on equal settings as CRNAs. when it comes to working in the (ACT)model in all hospitals settings.
The bottom line is I would love to see the day when AA-Cs/CRNAs can work together. With out letting politics get in the way when it comes to patient care.
If I was a CRNA manager/director of Anesthesia department. I would welcome both Anesthetist, CRNAs and AA-Cs.
Viceversa If I was a AA-C manager/director of Anesthesia department. I would welcome both Anesthetist, AA-Cs and CRNAs.
Both are Anesthetist Practitioners.
