There is no shortage of CRNAs. There is a shortage of CRNAs willing to work undesirable jobs. The desirable jobs continue to be quickly filled nationwide by CRNAs who can afford to be highly selective when seeking employment. For the most part, the few hundred AAs now in practice take what they can get of the leftovers in the few states that actually let them near a patient. Doctoral preparation will be mandatory for CRNAs in the year 2025. Plenty of time to be well prepared. In that year, you will still be nothing more than a doctors assistant totally dependent on, and clinically completely useless without, an MDA.
